Overhead sign installation will shut down segments of Interstate 25 north of Denver overnight starting the week of Sept. 15, as an effort to widen the roadway by adding express lanes moves forward.
The work zone is between 120th Avenue and the Northwest Parkway/E-470 junction, and the shutdowns of I-25 will affect up to two miles of the highway at a time.

The closures will follow this schedule: full closure of I-25 north on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday nights from 9:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Southbound I-25 in that stretch will close during the same hours on Tuesday and on Sept. 22 and Sept. 23. There could be another closure of southbound I-25 on Sept. 24, if needed.
Detour directions will be provided. There will also be double lane closures on I-25 in that area overnight through the week for paving operations.
