Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has officially announced a box set for The Infinity Saga coming later this year. The set will include brand new deleted and alternate scenes from what Feige called the “Marvel Vault.”
Feige made the announcement during a pretaped acceptance speech at the Saturn Awards’ first-ever recipient of the Stan Lee World Builder Award on Friday night. The Marvel boss thanked Stan “The Man” and others before expressing his gratitude for the fans of the MCU.
As a token of his appreciation, Feige announced the box set and premiered an alternate version of the post-credits scene from Iron Man. In this version, Samuel L. Jackson openly refers to mutants and radioactive bug bites!
UPDATE: Twitch user nMinker captured a clip of the Saturn Awards official Twitch stream featuring the alternate scene!
Clearly, there was a point at which Marvel Studios thought there was a chance Tony Stark, Fury, and others might interact with Fox’s X-Men and Sony’s Spider-Man!
There was no other information about the Infinity Saga box set, so we’ll have to stay tuned for more details on exactly when it will be released and what will be on it!
